CHENNAIYIN F.C.
Chennaiyin F.C. be my Favorite Team in the Indian Super League (ISL), I love watching them live in the stadium. This is my small effort to show my love for the team and the logo has some local touch to it by having “Dhrishti Bommai” which means “Remove all the negativity and brings in new positivity”.
A team that owned by my favorite cricketer MS Dhoni along with Bollywood actor Abishek Bachchan & Vita Dani. Ozone group is the principle partner of Chennaiyin fc. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai is the home ground for the blues with the capacity around 40,000.
Chennaiyin fc was the 1st team to win an away match in Hero Indian Super League which was against Goa FC. Chennaiyin FC is like Chelsea FC of Hero Indian Super League.
Thala Bojan Djordjic captained the team well and took them the semi-final stage.
"Let's do this together. It gone benefit for all of us. Help each other. Talk to each other. Don’t think anything negative. Just try to improve. Let us win games. Then we gone have unbelievable 3 month together. Let’s do this together."
We definitely gone miss Captain Marvelous in the second season of Hero Indian Super League.
Italian Marco Materazzi coached them well in his first spell as a Coach/Manager and had an intention to win each and every game which was the influence of Chelsea manager José Mourinho.
Brazilian Elano Blumer AKA #MersElano as a Marquee player scored the most number of goals (8) in the 1st season of Hero Indian Super League and won the golden boot award. He became the 1st Marquee player to score a goal in Hero ISL. Elano scored goals through Free kick, Penalty, with header, and Footer.
Bernard Mendy scored the best goal of Hero ISL Bicycle-kick goal against Kerala Blasters which is one of the toughest skill to learn in football. Bernard Mandy and Mikaël Silvestre held the defensive line of CFC very well with the help of Dhanachandra Singh and Gouramangi Singh.
Young Brazilian Bruno Pelissari scored four goals in Hero ISL season 1 which includes a brilliant direct goal for the corner-kick vs Delhi Dynamos.
Pocket Rocket Stiven Mendoza brings in a quality speed in attack which was the strength of chennaiyin fc and he scored four goals in season 1. But CFC lost him at the wrong end of the season which cost them badly semi-final.
Chennaiyin fc also got some talented Indian players like Dhanachandra Singh, Gouramangi Singh, Abhishek Das, Harmanjot Khabra, Jeje Lalpekhlua, Balwant Singh, Jayesh Rane, and Denson Devadas. Balwant Singh became the 1st Indian player to score a goal in Hero Indian Super.
Chennaiyin fc topped the table at the end of league stage and scored the most number of goals in ISL season 1 with 24 goals (Elano Blumer 8, Bruno Pelissari 4, Jeje Lalpekhlua 4, Stiven Mendoza 4, Bernard Mendy 1, Dhanachandra Singh 1, Jean-Eudes Maurice 1 and Cristian Hidalgo 1.)
Fans of Chennaiyin fc named the stadium as "MarinaArena" and we have a chant "PoduMachiGoalu".
After getting a great support from the fans, Chennaiyin fc team named their fans as "SuperMachans" which was given by Abishek Bachchan.
For the start of 2nd season of Hero Indian Super League, Chennaiyin fc retained most of their players, and they signed former Atlético de Kolkata players Fikru who was 1st goal scorer of Hero Indian Super League and Apoula Edel who won the best goal keeper award in the 1st season of Hero ISL. They signed Indian players like Mehrajuddin Wadoo and Godwin Franco. Also brings in some experienced foreign players like Éder, Manuele Blasi, Raphael Augusto and Alessandro Potenza.
In Hero ISL Auction, Chennaiyin fc bought in some of the exciting prospects of Indian football Thoi Singh and Karanjit Singh from the Hero ISL Auction. And also bought some local talents like Dhanpal Ganesh and Nidhin Lal from the Hero ISL Draft.
After getting all the players for the Hero ISL 2, Chennaiyin FC travel to Perugia, Italy for a month long pre-season training. Training in a foreign condition will play a key role in winning the league which give the players a chance to gel and work together before the league start.
After completing their pre-season training in Perugia, Chennaiyin fc players landed in Chennai last week with a warm reception from chennaiyin fc fan early morning at the Airport.
Just 3 more days to go for the start of Hero Indian Super League, Chennaiyin FC begins their journey to win the Hero ISL Cup with the 1st game of Hero ISL 2 against the Defending Champions Atlético de Kolkata in Our home MarinaArena. Hope this season Chennaiyin FC bring the cup home to Chennai.
